Management Team

Jane Zhang – CEO

Jane holds a Masters in electrical and mechanical engineering from the University of South Carolina. She was recruited by a mid size engineering firm in Greenville where she worked her way up to VP over the engineering team.

While raising her oldest child, Jane completed her studies and received her MBA from Clemson University.

Jane is a strategic CEO, yet is hands on and knows the systems/tasks of her entire team. JH Global has had minimal bad debt as Jane’s tight money management policy has been another key to the company’s success.

Jun Hu – President

After receiving his PH. D in electrical engineering from Clemson University, Jun spent 10 years with an engineering firm where he was later promoted to engineering manager.

Jun has worked closely with our factory partners in China. Jun is relentless in his pursuit of continuous improvement in the Star EV brand. Today, Star is known for its reliability in large part due to Jun’s efforts.

Bob Weist – VP, Manufacturing & Technical Support

Bob was part of the original JH Global Team. Bob is a former machine shop owner with over 35 years of machining, metal working and manufacturing experience. Star EV is known for it’s ability to customize EV’s for special uses. No one is better at creative solutions.

Bob also plays a lead role in the technical support to the dealer base and often travels with Jun to China to make product improvements and source new products.

Joe Wallington – VP, Sales & Marketing

Joe has nearly 25 years of success in sales and marketing at companies including Ralston Purina, PepsiCo/Frito-Lay and Michelin. He held VP positions at both Frito-Lay and Michelin North America.

Since joining the JH Global Team in 2008, Joe has strengthened and diversified the dealer base, upgraded the team, improved the go-to-market strategy and built the foundation for strong commercial and government sales growth.

Rusty Williams- CFO

Rusty is the newest member of our team. He has more than 15 years of financial management experience in various manufacturing environments including experience with a Tier One automotive supplier. His extensive background in financial operations and accounting department leadership includes positions at the plant, segment, and corporate level. He holds a BS degree in Financial Management and a Masters of Professional Accountancy degree from Clemson University.
