15 models of Star Electric Vehicles have been certified by California Air Resource Board on August 20, 2014 through Executive Order A-414-0002, as Zero-emission neighborhood electric vehicles (NEV). This represents a continuing progress for Star EV’s commitment to promote electric vehicles and help better the environment. In addition to electric high speed passenger vehicles that most of the motor vehicle manufacturers are focused on, we believe that low speed electric vehicles can also play a large role in helping the environment, they have zero emissions and can be used on golf courses, around the neighborhood, sports stadiums, colleges, factories, airports, resorts, etc.
This certification is big news for STAR EVs, not just in California, but also in the other CARB states such as New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and Oregon, which follow California standards. Star EV’s 36 and 48 Classic Line along with the new Magellan are also certified by CARB as new pure electric golf cart for off-highway vehicles through executive order U-G-008-0001-2.
